Maths Brownie is a place where I collect and share the resources I've made, ideas I've found useful and the occasional opinion on teaching mathematics. At the moment it's just somewhere to organise my own work and thoughts, but if other teachers find an idea or resource here that proves useful, then that's a bonus.

Some teachers describe themselves as magpies, collecting shiny ideas wherever they find them. I'm less of a magpie and more of a thief. If you spot a link to your work here, it's because I've pinched the idea, used it. Thanks.

I trained to teach through Teach First in Ipswich in 2014 and have worked in a variety of roles since then, including Head of Department, Lead Practitioner and Initial Teacher Training Mentor. I've taught GCSE and A Level throughout that time, marked GCSE papers for an exam board and dipped my toe into the occasional bit of tutoring.

These days I'm happily teaching mathematics in Whitehaven, West Cumbria.
